Patrick joined Flanagan Consulting LLC with over 21 years combined active and reserve status in the U.S. Army where he holds the current rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Patrick has held a variety of jobs throughout his military career including an Intelligence Officer for the Special Forces during Desert Storm where he was intelligence “eyes and ears” of the Army Green Berets providing ground combat data to the United States Central Command. This included serving as the only intelligence officer for the entire Saudi Arabia/Kuwait/Iraq border. In this capacity he was responsible for all border intelligence activities to include Iraqi defections and analysis. He was with lead elements that liberated Kuwait and conducted various classified intelligence missions throughout the region. Additionally, he has assisted in planning for intelligence operations in Somalia and has represented the U.S. government on numerous other contingency operations.
After September 11, 2001, Patrick was the first psychological operations (PSYOP) officer responsible for product development production and dissemination throughout all of Afghanistan in 2002 while fighting the Global War on Terror. He represented the U.S. psychological operations mission to the multi-national forces and became the single point of contact for psychological operations. Additionally, he has authored numerous reports and articles on military psychological operations in Afghanistan.
He has a current top secret security clearance and holds a Master’s of Science in Strategic Intelligence from the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). He is a highly decorated veteran who briefs senior leaders and has contributed to the formulation of Army doctrine and training.
Patrick has an extensive background in communications where he has expertise within the wireless industry. His experience includes antenna site acquisition and location, project management, tower reinforcement, and site layout and design. He has consulted corporate headquarters of some of America’s largest telecommunications corporations and is regularly called upon for advice and consultation.
